1. Working Together to Benefit Us All

Working Together to Benefit Us All – By building public-private partnerships together with citizen participation, the Schick Road Bike Path was constructed in my first year in office.  Our goals included connecting trails and bike paths for safety and easy access, along with creating more opportunities for recreation and transportation for all Wayne Township residents.

  • Continues to lead with a bi-partisan voice in DuPage County Government
  • Built new school crossing on Schick and Carriage Way with crew saving $30,000 after 20 years of waiting
  • Signed intergovernmental agreements to share materials, equipment, manpower & more with DuPage County, All 9 township Road Districts, the DuPage Forest Preserve and most of the townships municipalities making tax dollars go much further.
  • Improved road ways and drainage systems throughout the township, with Heat Scarification, Bio-swales and Natural drainage systems.
  • Built Bike Paths on Fair Oaks and Schick Roads
  • Created Wayne Township Bike Path Plan
  • Cul-de-sac Beautification Project, Developing unused areas to create community spaces.
  • Initiated Road District membership in the Bartlett & Carol Stream Chambers of Commerce and maintain active participation and advertising.
  • Introduced lighted safety signs in partnership with Benjamin School.
  • Installed pedestrian crossing signals on Schick road next to Bartlett High School.
  • Eliminated pay- for-play contractors and brought most of our work in house.
  • Brought CERT to Wayne Township
